Case study

Baqala

Grocery POS and online ordering · Kuwait

Why Baqala wanted promotions that run themselves

Baqala, a Kuwaiti grocery brand, wanted promotions to run themselves. Bundles should form in the basket without the cashier hunting for them, and customers should be able to choose delivery or car-side pickup.

What we built

What Enegix built for Baqala: promotions engine, pickup and ordering

Enegix built Baqala a promotions engine that re-checks the basket on every scan, picks the best combination of bundles and splits each discount fairly across its items so refunds stay clean. Enegix also built a choice between delivery and car-side pickup at checkout, and online ordering screens designed around those flows. At Baqala, Android terminals are rolling out alongside Trolley.

The basket is re-checked on every scan for the best bundle.

  • Delivery or car-side pickup

Customers choose how they collect, right at checkout.

  • Online ordering

Screens designed around those two flows.
