This policy explains what Enegix collects when you use this website, why, who helps us handle it, how long we keep it, and how to ask us to find, copy or delete it. "Enegix", "we" and "us" mean Enegix, Inc. (Delaware, USA) and Enegix, LLC (Alexandria, Egypt).
We work with companies in many countries. Depending on where you live, local law may give you more rights than this page describes. Where it does, we honor them.
What we collect
When you chat with Ask Enegix. We keep the messages you type and the replies you receive, so our team can follow up and so you can pick up where you left off. While you chat, the assistant fills in a short brief from what you tell it: your name, company and role, email address or WhatsApp number, what you need, the systems you use today, your market, your timeline and a budget range. You choose what to share. Please don't type passwords, card numbers or other payment details.
When you use the contact form. We keep your name, email address, company (if you give one), your message and the language of the page you sent it from. A copy of your message may also be emailed to our team's inbox.
When you book a call. Bookings are made in a calendar run by Cal.com. Cal.com collects the details you enter there, such as your name, email address and the time you pick, and sends us a copy so we can prepare for the call.
When you visit any page. We do not store your IP address as it is. To stop spam and abuse, we turn it into a scrambled code that cannot be turned back into the address. We keep that code with your chat for as long as we keep the chat, in our usage-limit counters for a few days, and in our record of refused first messages for up to 30 days.
How we use it
- To answer your questions and reply to your messages.
- To prepare for and hold a call you booked.
- To work out, with you, whether and how we can help your business.
- To keep the website secure and stop spam and abuse.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who helps us
We use a small number of service providers. Each one handles only what it needs to do its job for us.
- AI model provider. The chat's replies are written by an AI model. To produce each reply, your messages are sent to OpenAI, or through OpenRouter to model providers that are set not to keep your data.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a bot, is starting a chat or sending the contact form. It looks at signals from your browser and device. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Cal.com runs the booking calendar. See Cal.com's privacy policy.
- Resend delivers contact form messages to our team's inbox by email. See Resend's privacy policy.
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4, run by Google, count visits, but only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. Tag Manager is the tool that loads Google Analytics on our pages. See Google's privacy policy.
- Sentry receives a report when a page or our server runs into an error, so we can fix it. See Sentry's privacy policy.
- Adobe Fonts serves some of the fonts on our pages. Your browser downloads them from Adobe, which sees your IP address as any website does. Adobe Fonts sets no cookies. See Adobe's privacy notice for Adobe Fonts.
- Hosting. The website and its database run on servers we rent.
Our team can read chats and briefs, and may join a chat to help you directly. Each time a team member opens a chat, a brief or someone's contact details, it is recorded.
We may also share information when the law requires it.
Analytics and error reports
Analytics runs only if you agree. On your first visit a banner asks whether we may use analytics cookies. Until you choose Accept, neither Google Tag Manager nor Google Analytics is loaded and nothing is sent to Google. If you choose Reject, they stay off. We do not read browser signals such as Global Privacy Control: the banner asks everyone, and nothing loads until you choose Accept. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
When it runs, Google Analytics receives the address and title of each page visited. The address holds only the page's name and any campaign tags in the link that brought you (utm_source and the like). It also receives the website that linked to us, as the site's address only and never the page on it, the page's language, and the usual details any browser sends, such as the kind of device and browser and roughly where you are (country and region, not city). And it receives four steps of a visit: opening the chat, the brief being started, opening the booking calendar, and a booking being made. It never receives what you type, or your name, email address or phone number. We have turned off Google signals and advertising features, so this data is not used for advertising or linked to a Google account. Your browser's connection to Google carries your IP address, as with any website; Google Analytics 4 does not log or store it. Google keeps the data for 2 months.
No advertising trackers. We do not use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel or any other advertising tracker today. If we add one, it will run only if you agree to it separately in the cookie banner, and we will update this page before it starts.
Error reports. When a page or our server runs into an error, we send a report to Sentry so we can fix it. Error reports are sent whether or not you choose Accept, because they are how we find and fix faults. A report contains the type of error, where in our code it happened, the page's name, the time, and the kind of browser and operating system. It never contains what you typed or the error's text, it sets no cookies, and our Sentry project is set not to store IP addresses. Sentry keeps reports for up to 90 days.
Cookies and browser storage
We use four cookies of our own:
- __Host-sid keeps your chat connected to you. It lasts 7 days and is renewed while you chat. The chat does not work without it.
- enx_theme remembers whether you chose the light or dark look. It lasts 1 year.
- ui_locale remembers your language, English or Arabic. It lasts 1 year.
- __Host-enx_consent remembers your choice in the cookie banner. It lasts 1 year.
If you choose Accept, Google Analytics also sets _ga and _ga_… cookies, which tell one visit from the next. They last up to 13 months. Google Tag Manager sets no cookies of its own. If you later choose Reject, we delete these cookies.
We also keep a small note in your browser tab's storage so that each step of a visit is counted only once. It is cleared when you close the tab and is not sent anywhere.
The Cloudflare check and the Cal.com calendar run in their own frames and may set their own cookies, under their own policies.
How long we keep it
- Chats and briefs: until you ask us to delete them.
- Contact form messages: until you ask us to delete them.
- Copies of contact form messages in our team's email inbox: until you ask us to delete them.
- Booking details we receive from Cal.com: as long as the brief they belong to.
- Abuse-prevention codes: with your chat, until you ask us to delete it; in usage-limit counters, a few days; in the record of refused first messages, up to 30 days.
- Google Analytics data (only if you chose Accept): 2 months.
- Error reports: up to 90 days.
You can ask us to delete any of it at any time. Deleting your information from the website does not reach the copies emailed to our team's inbox, or the delivery logs our email provider, Resend, keeps under its own policy. To have the inbox copies deleted too, write to [email protected].
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- find the information we hold about you;
- send you a copy of it;
- correct it;
- delete it.
Write to [email protected] from the email address you used with us, or send your request through the contact form. We may ask you to confirm that the request comes from you. We answer within 30 days.
Where your information is processed
Our servers and our providers may be in countries other than yours, including the United States and the European Union. We only use providers that protect the information they handle for us.
Keeping it safe
Connections to this website are encrypted. Only our team can see chats, briefs and messages, and they must sign in to do so. Staff access to personal details is logged.
Children
This website is for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use information you have already given us, we will say so here before it takes effect.
